Reggie Teray Welch, was born April 6, 1982, to Eddie Ray and Maxine Welch. He was a member of Chance Baptist Church where he remained after being baptized at an early age. He was a graduate of the Clarke County class of 2000. After graduation he went on to attend the University of Alabama. He was employed at Vaughn Hospital in Selma, AL where he served as a dedicated hospital administrator.
Reggie loved hard and was always full of laughter. He had a heart of gold, and always had a story to tell. On August 13, 2016 he married Jakeitha Jackson and they were blessed with their son Chance. He was also blessed with two daughters Carlee and Reagan. Being the loving and supportive father that he was, he attempted to instill in his kids the importance of family.
Those left to cherish his memories are: his loving parents, Maxine and Eddie Ray Welch; his wife Jakeitha Jackson Welch; his son Chance Welch; his two daughters Carlee and Reagan Welch; stepdaughter Ja'Liyah Jackson; brother Eddie NaRon (Candace) Welch; nine aunts: Katie (John) Jackson, Juanita (Willie) Kidd, Dollie Fountain, Janiece (Norman) Hammond, Diane (Eugene) McClammy, Clyniece Thompson, Doris (Bob) Johnson, Janie McCaskill, and Anniece Welch; four uncles: Henry Lee (Geraldine) Welch, Lester Welch, Johnny Welch, and Joe (Sarah) McCaskill; two nieces: Addison and Avery Welch; several cousins that he loved dearly, six devoted: Kevin Jackson, Erick Kidd, James Welch, Lemar McCaskill, Demar McCaskill, and Rick Patrick; fraternity brothers, and classmates, several friends with four devoted: Jason Morrissette, Rod Robinson, Brandon Tolbert, and Lawrence Barron.
Viewing will be September 17, 2020 at 5 -7pm. Graveside Service will be held at Mt. Sani AME Cemetery on August 18, 2020 at 11am.
