Martha Pogue-Bennett Obituary

Martha Pogue-Bennett was born April 29, 1939 in Sunny South, AL, to the late Amos and Nancy Pogue. She departed this life September 16, 2020. She confessed Jesus Christ at an early age and united with Cook Valley Baptist Church. After moving to Oak Park, Illinois she united with First Baptist Church of Oak Park and remained a faithful member. She reunited with Cook Valley Baptist Church after relocating back to her hometown and remained a faithful member until her transition.

Martha was educated in Alabama from elementary school to high school where she later went on to attend Alabama State University. She continued her education in Illinois as she received a job working for the Chicago school system as a teacher and a coordinator for the school system.

Graveside service will be held September 23, 2020 at the Airmont Cemetery at 1pm.
