Harmon David Lassiter, Jr., age 54, of Silverhill, Alabama, formerly of Selma, AL, died May 1, 2021. David, also lovingly known as "Davy" by many, was born and raised in Selma,AL, where he lived most of his life. As a youth, he was involved with city league baseball. He loved music and he learned how to play the harmonica, guitar, banjo, and the drums. He loved to sing. He spent many hours pickin' and grinnin' alongside his daddy, with family, and friends. He was in numerous local bands and loved being on stage performing. Through the years, he did a variety of work, from working at Grindle Tire, to doing construction. He was a skilled carpenter and created functional pieces as well as decorative. Davy loved to laugh, and it was rare to see his face without seeing that big ole grin on it. He will be missed , very much, by those who knew and loved him. David is survived by his wife, Brenda Revell Lassiter, two sons, David Nelson Lassiter (Brittney) and Patrick Wayne Lassiter (Holland); a sister, Gail Lassiter Hobson (Frank); five grandchildren, Annabelle, Logan, Mikalynn, Jonah, and Cole. He was preceded in death by his father, Harmon David Lassiter, Sr., his mother, Joyce Avritt Lassiter, and a sister Rena Lassiter Smith. Graveside services will be held at Enon Cemetery, PineHill, AL on May 6, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.
