Dianne Woods, affectionately know as "DoDip", was born to the late Coma Woods Sr. and Minnie Ruth White-Woods in Thomasville, AL on October 15, 1956. She attended A.L. Martin Elementary and Thomasville High School in Thomasville, AL later receiving her Sewing Certificate from Hobson State Technical College. She was employed by Hilton Shirt Factory and Teledyne.
Dianne accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and joined the Thomasville Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Elder B.T. Henry. She later moved her membership and united with Greater First Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. C.H. Manzie.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her close companion, Robert Lee Thomas; one brother, Coma Woods Jr.; one sister, Bonnie Woods Taylor.
She leaves to cherish her memories her loving and very devoted children; Latonya (George) Dickinson of Grove Hill, AL; Robert Woods of Thomasville, AL; Freda Woods of Grove Hill, AL; and Frederick L. (Feleshia) Woods of New Orleans, LA. One devoted sister, Linda K. Hudson of Thomasville, AL; five brothers: Charles E. (Joyce) Woods of Hoover, AL; Perry Woods of Montgomery, AL; Terry Woods and Billy Woods both of Thomasville, AL; and Charles ( Joyce) Arnold of Cyrene, AL. Four aunts: Bessie Robinson of Montgomery, AL; Amanda White-Simmons and Essie Ree Dickinson both of Thomasville, AL; and Muriel White of Davison, MI. Two uncles: Kenneth White of Mobile, AL and Deacon Amos McDaniel Sr. of Thomasville, AL. Seven grandchildren: Marcus, Jameyon, Farrah, Haley, Sincere, Zabrielle and Jaceyon. Two great-grandchildren: Marcus Jr. and Kyler Truth. Two devoted nieces: Charlita Woods and Valerie Hudson both of Thomasville, AL. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives and friends.
Viewing will be September 25, 2020 from 3-5. Graveside Services will be September 26, 2020 at New Greater First Baptist Church Cemetery at 11am.
