Betty Powell Reed Obituary

Ms. Betty Powell Reed was born in Dickinson, AL on July 5, 1955, to Joe and Ruby Powell. She was a member of the Midway Baptist Church, where she sang with the choir faithfully.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Reed Sr., her parents, and three siblings Robert Powell, Sarah Hunt, and Gerald Clarke.

Betty leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted sons Kenneth Powell and Charles Wayne Reed Jr.; two brothers Jimmy Powell Sr. of Dickinson, AL, and Thomas Powell of Grove Hill, AL; four sisters Dorothy (Kenneth) Watson of Fulton, AL, Mary (Larry) Shamburger of Dickinson, AL, Shirley of Zion, AL, and JoAnn Powell of Douglasville, GA; three grandchildren Skylar Reed, Kenneth Powell, Jr., and Kentyra Powell; two devoted friends James McCaskill and Ms. Earlean Gray; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and relatives and friends.

Graveside Service and Celebration of life will be held September 5, 2020 at Midway Baptist Church at 11am.
