Ms.Laura Lee McCall was born on December 27,1921 in Marengo County to the late Ninne Dixon and Joe Sewell. She made her transition from this life into eternal life on Wednesday, February 26,2014 at her residence.
She confessed a belief in Christ at an early age and later joined Rockbabylon Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. R.D. Gragg.
Sis. Laura Lee had a dynamic voice for singing. She sang with the Rockbabylon choir and was a powerful and anointed soloist. She was often asked to sing on many church programs. Some of her greatest joys of singing was with her son the late Willie George.

She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories her loving and devoted daughters Willie Ann (Issac) Burroughs, Betty Joyce (Will) Clayton-James, and Valerie Martin. A loving and devoted daughter-in-law Johnnie Pearl and adopted daughter Pearlie Davis all of Thomasville, Alabama. Seven step-children; a brother, Thomas Dixon of Detroit, Michigan; sister Geraldine Lightler of Cleveland, Ohio; fifteen loving grandchildren; fifteen step-grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. A devoted cousin Dorothy White of Mobile, Alabama. Devoted nieces Trenell Cowan and Christine (Bob) Washington of Thomasville, Alabama. A host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
