Kendall LaDone Daffin was a native of the Toddtown Community of Grove Hill, AL. He was born on February 26, 1962, to the late Asberry Daffin Jr., and Barbara J. Todd Daffin. He was the youngest of 10 children born to this union. He transitioned from this life to eternity on Friday, January 16, 2015.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Diane Young.
He united with the Pine Chapel #2 Baptist Church, at an early age where he sung in the junior choir, was a member of the crusaders, and was boy scout of American in Troop 56.
Mr. Daffin, received his education in Clarke County Public School System and graduated from
Clarke County High School in 1980. While attending high school, he was a member of CCHS football team and was voted Mr. CCHS. Following graduation he attended Selma University in Selma, Alabama, where he completed two years of college, and pledged Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated. While attending school, he competed in the Minority Biomedical Support Symposium, where he won first place. He also sung, in the Selma University Choir. Selma University, is where he met and married Sheree Fox Daffin, and to this union are three children. Following this union, he worked at B.E. & K Construction Company, in Pine Hill, Alabama. Sometimes after, he enlisted and finish basic training, in the United States Army. After enlisting, he worked at Pugh Logging Company, for a length of time.
He leaves to cherish his memories, two devoted daughters, Keree L. Daffin and Kenee L. Daffin. One son Kody F. Daffin. Only one grandchild, Kira Paulette Ervin. Also eight sibilings; three sisters, Joan (Sam) Yates, Of Mobile,AL., Wynona Young and Barbara (Abdul) Tigner, both of Atlanta, GA; five brothers; Grady W. Daffin, Larry Dunham, Asberry (Mary) Daffin III, all of Jackson, AL., Roosevelt (Stephanie) Daffin, of Huntsville, AL., Yancey (Cassandra) Daffin, of Mt.Vernon, AL; two aunts; Ida Mae Jones,of Jackson, AL., and Nettie L.Vinson, of Cincinnati, OH; one uncle ,Chrissy Lee (Louverta) Todd, of Mobile, AL.
A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Two devoted friends; Virginia Todd and Melvin Dickinson.
